These are the issues IAFF Alberta is actively advocating for right now, the priorities our members are taking directly to MLAs, government officials, and decision-makers this year. Each item below represents a specific ask: a regulation we're pushing to amend, a gap we're working to close, or a change we believe will make Alberta's Fire Fighters and the public they serve safer.

Alberta is falling behind other provinces on occupational cancer recognition and outdated latency periods. We're asking government to amend regulation to reflect current research.
